An Easter Morning That Stays With You

There are mornings at Toybox that stay with you. Our Easter Hat Parade was one of them. Our little ones arrived wearing creations that felt entirely their own, bunnies perched carefully on brims, eggs fixed with quiet intention, feathers and flowers arranged just so. Each hat was different, and each one carried something of the child who wore it.

What stayed with us most was not the hats themselves, but the faces beneath them. Children who had been given space for an idea, and seen it through in their own way.

Our educators wore their hats alongside them, simply part of the shared experience that brings our community together.

At our early learning centre in North Sydney and childcare in Mascot, these moments do not sit beside the learning. They are part of it, lived, shared, and remembered long after the decorations are packed away.
