Toybox provides an exceptional quality of care and early childhood education, where children are given the opportunity to learn and develop to their full potential in a fun and supportive environment. We are big enough to deliver a quality environment with an energetic team, but small enough to ensure each child is cared for holistically as an individual. Each child will develop their unique skills and talents through play and learning adventures at our service.

Education, learning and play are at the forefront of who we are. Our curriculum relates to the child’s world; we provide the platforms that allow children to express themselves. Learning is interactive, engaging, rich, creative and authentic. Children have many years of formal education ahead of them, and our main role is to engage them in the love of learning and to develop this as a lifelong habit. We believe in a play based learning approach that allows for both child centred learning as well as intentional teaching opportunities, our learning programs offer flexibility and adaptability to match each child’s learning capabilities. Play allows the development of confidence and resilience, and by fostering children’s play, we allow them to learn about and discover the world in which they live in. This approach lays the foundations to allow transitions through life to be seamless and for children to be able to cope more easily with the changes that lay ahead. Our teachers, educators and staff are passionate, motivated individuals who work collaboratively with families to ensure the delivery of our successful curriculum. Our curriculum follows the Early Years Learning Framework tailored to each individual child.
Our teachers, educators and staff are passionate about healthy lifestyles. Toybox is a Sun Smart service and engaged participants of the NSW Health initiative; Munch and Move. Healthy eating and physical activity are embedded in our practices. Our vegetable gardens encourage children to try new foods and textures as well as introduce nature into our program. Our educators have a passion for the environment and view sustainability not as another program to teach the children but as a set of practices to embed in our lives.
Our Toybox family values your family. We see the child’s parents as the first teacher. Building trusting, respectful, long lasting relationships with the children and their families enables us to ensure the best possible outcome for each individual child is met. Our communication is open and honest. Your child’s day is transparent and readily available. Respect goes both ways. Our educators are worthy role models for each other, children, families and the wider community. Everyone is an individual that is celebrated. By ensuring successful partnerships we learn invaluable information required to allow us to truly engage your child’s learning journey.
