We provide nappies, wipes, food, linen, sunscreen and hats. A welcome backpack is given as a gift to your child on enrolment.
We have regular visits during the year by specialist educators. We have hatching eggs, puppet shows, crazy scientists, sea creatures and farm animals, visits from a dentist and emergency services personnel. We also invite all families who have a special skill to come and talk to the children. Pre-school children are engaged in activities in local schools or libraries to help them prepare for big school.
All classrooms have use of computers and ipads. This allows children to be familiar with today’s technology as they build towards tomorrow. Our language classes are also delivered by using ipads in the pre-school classroom.
All families are given unique and secure access to their child’s online portfolio, showing the day’s activities and linking observations to developmental milestones within the curriculum.
Toybox provides nutritious food. We use quality suppliers and staff are trained in proper methods of food handling and hygiene. We regularly use fruit, vegetables and herbs grown in our gardens in cooking experiences with the children.
We offer dance and sports classes each week for families who wish their children to participate.
All four year old children who are due to commence school in the following year are offered free eyesight screening by Government health officers through our centres.
All rooms and outdoor areas have plenty of equipment and educational materials to ensure children are stimulated, challenged & have fun. Playgrounds and classrooms are set up to provide ongoing variety in play and learning. Safety inspections of all equipment are regularly conducted.
Toybox has the latest technology high security protection, incl. CCTV and secure access systems. Each family is given their own unique access to our centres. Unauthorised collection of children is not permitted.
Our centres are registered for government funding for families to assist in meeting the cost of care.
Two weeks bond and two weeks fees in advance are required to secure your child’s enrolment. The bond is fully refunded at the end of your child’s time at Toybox. Fees are billed fortnightly in advance.
Our notice period is 4 weeks for changes of days and termination of enrolment.
We offer a school preparation program delivered by qualified early childhood teachers, and children are introduced to all activities they will experience at school. We aim to ensure that children are socially and emotionally ready for school, as well as having the foundations for early literacy and pre-numeracy. Physical readiness for school is also a focus.
